Dreams on Horseback is dedicated to improving the lives of people with special needs through therapeutic horse programs. Founded by Jennifer Hansen, the non-profit is now in it’s sixteenth year.
Dreams on Horseback offers a variety of horse-partnered programs including therapeutic riding lessons with certified instructors for children and adults with special needs. Through engaging activities and games, students learn to solve problems, face fears, and complete physical tasks. Watch the video to experience how two Central Ohio families’ children have been helped by therapeutic riding.
Dreams on Horseback also works with seniors living with Alzheimer’s to reduce their anxiety and with young people with autism spectrum disorders hoping to learn vocational skills. Most recently the non-profit is working with military and veterans to help them rebuild their lives after stressful tours of duty. To learn more click here.
